The Rondastakk
The Rondastakk has a checked waist piece with long traditions from Gudbrandsdalen. It has been in use since the early 1800s. The everyday shirt is in a blue checked cloth, while the party shirt is in white. The silver was only used with the white shirt. The pattern on the waist piece varies since each estate had their own.
The silver: The silver is oxidized and quite elegant and thoroughly done. The neck button and other brooches usually have large filigree pendants. It is common to use a neck button at the top and a larger brooch further down. Some use two buttons underneath each other. Some brooches are hart shaped with a crown on top. You use cufflinks and a pair of nice shoe buckles with the Bunad too.
